The government of St. Petersburg plans to offer up to 60.4 billion rubles of bonds, Chairman of the city’s Financial Committee Alexei Korabelnikov told reporters on Tuesday.
“Last year the offering limit was set at a relatively high level of around 68 billion rubles, but we placed only 30.1 billion rubles worth of government bonds in December, which was actually two times less… due to a lower than expected deficit,” he said.
The official said that the offering volume in 2018 will depend on the city’s needs and added that the securities may be offered in the summer.
