Russia’s Finance Ministry places 43.4 bln rbl OFZ bonds

Russia’s Finance Ministry placed 43.4 billion rubles worth of OFZ government bonds of two series at two auctions on Wednesday, the Moscow Exchange said in a statement.

At the first auction, the ministry sold 23.406 billion rubles worth of OFZ 26217 bonds maturing in August 2021. The cut-off yield stood at 7.94% annually and the weighted average yield amounted to 7.9% annually. Demand for the bonds totaled 42.843 billion rubles.

At the second auction, the ministry sold 20 billion rubles worth of OFZ 26218 bonds maturing in September 2031. The cut-off yield stood at 8.38% annually and the weighted average yield amounted to 8.36%. Demand for the bonds totaled 26.212 billion rubles.
