|The Government of Russia can achieve decrease in inflation to 8,5% following the results of 2008, the Vice-Primier and the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexey Kudrin is assured. “In 2008 we expect to achieve decrease in inflation to 8,5% because there will be no such gain of the prices for the foodstuffs at the world markets, there will be no such record inflow of the capital“ — Kudrin told at the Federation Council Session on Wednesday.|
The Government didn’t manage to persue the scheme on inflation following the results of this year, because of a peak rise in prices for the basic foodstuff in the fall of 2007 and also record inflow of the capital to the country. Instead of the planned 8% the rise in prices appeared at level of 11,9%.
