Moscow Region Electric Power Grid Company (MOESK) intends to float up to RUR 10bn of eurobonds

OAO Moscow Region Electric Power Grid Company (MOESK) intends to float up to RUR 10bn of eurobonds before the summer of 2008.

“We are waiting for favourable market conditions to place the issue. This might happen in February or in spring, in ny case we won’t postpone this placement till summer”, commented a company representative.

It will be the 2nd eurobond issue placed by MOESK. The 1st issue was placed in Q3, 2006. The debut issue has a five year maturity and amounts to RUR 6bn.

The MOESK board of directors upheld a decision on issuing eurobonds in summer of 2007. They were initially intended for placement in autumn of 2007, but the placement was postponed due to unfavourable market conditions.

The 2nd eurobond issue will be issued by MOESK Finance Limited. The bonds have a 5 year maturity. The issue will be arranged by Barclays Bank and VTB.
