|VTB's net profit calculated to Russian Accounting Standards increased 6% year on year to 18.2 billion rubles ($744 million) in 2007, a spokesperson for the state-run foreign trade bank said on Friday.|
Russia's second largest bank yielded 17.2 billion rubles of net profit in 2006.
The Central Bank earlier reported that VTB, in which the state holds a 77.47% stake, increased its RAS net profit in the first 11 months of 2007 by 51.2% year on year to 14.8 bln rubles ($600.6 mln).
