North-West Telecom to issue bonds

January 10, 2008 | RBC

North-West Telecom plans to issue certificated interest-bearing bonds worth RUB 3bn (approx. USD 123m) in April 2008, the regional telecommunications company reported in a statement. The funds raised will be used to repay the company's current debt and finance its investment program. One of the company's subsidiaries has been appointed as guarantor for the bond issue, and Sviaz-Bank will act as lead manager. The issue had initially been scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2007, but was later postponed due to the receipt of proceeds from the sale of a 15-percent stake in Telecominvest.
