|Gazprombank is poised to purchase ten regional banks in Russia and Ukraine, Kirill Levin, Deputy Chairman of the bank's Management Board, told journalists today. He pointed out the acquisitions are planned in Eastern Siberia, the Far East, Central Russia, and Ukraine. |
Levin explained that the transactions would be carried out as part of Gazprombank's regional development strategy. According to Levin, the first deals will be struck after the completion of Gazprombank's share capital increase. The first additional share issue is scheduled for the first quarter of 2007.
