Ukraine issued sovereign Eurobonds denominated in Euro

Ukraine (Саа1/ В/ В) placed sovereign Eurobonds worth EUR 1.25 billion with maturity on January 27, 2030 and listing on the Irish Stock Exchange. The coupon rate is set at 4.375% per annum, and coupon payment is performed once a year. The mid-swap spread amounted to 427 basis points.

The underwriters were JP Morgan, BNP Paribas, and RBI Group. The EBRD reacquired 17% of the total issue amount. According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the demand reached EUR 7 billion from more than 350 investors from all over the world.

This is the second issue of Ukraine's Eurobonds denominated in Euro over the last six months. The Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova commented on the issue stating that this placement, in the same manner as the first one in June, was performed as part of a program to attract the Euro into the country due to integration with the European Union.
